When fabricating an exhaust pipe this part gets welded to your 1.750" header pipe to hold the retaining ring/exhaust clamp in place. They can also be used to make the transition from 1.750" to 2" pipe easier, simply slip one over the smaller pipe and the larger pipe over it and weld. one set is included with all Pipe Builder Kits.
